When the skies are stormy and gray there’s nothing better than that unexpected colorful sunset, which is exactly what happened here on a rainy evening. The French alps are without a doubt a strikingly beautiful place. As a photographer you’re head feels like it’s on a swivel, scanning around in circles in awe of the endless beauty and compositional opportunity. Photographed on assignment for @National Geographic Travel / For photo nerds like me, I used a .9 split neutral density filter to balance the sky with the waterfall portion of the frame.
