Before leaving to Oz I’ve dried my starter and put it into coma. As soon as I got back home I’ve started a series of refreshments to get it back to life and desired activity. During last feeding before final build I got a call from my husband, that he accidently cooked the box with my starter I was keeping close to the oven bulb while reheating the pizza. ???? Thanks god I have a good friend @pawelfabis, who gave me a spoon of his starter that next day turned to into a bucket of nice and active levain and this is how our bread babies turned out ;) I was lucky to recover my starter from the crumb of that baked one, which proves that those cultures are kind of immortal :) anyway, a friend in need is a friend indeed, Thanks one more time for saving my bake @pawelfabis ❤️ #adventuresinbaking #friendsinbread #sourdough #wildyeasts #
