Today is #worldbipolarday and I wanted to bring awareness to this issue as I was recently diagnosed with it. For me it was a relief to hear this diagnosis because I could finally put a name to this thing I’ve struggled with my entire adult life and now I can utilize tools to help me actually live a productive life. I’ve used art as a way to cope with this condition without even knowing it, after leaving Nike I created this face icon as a logo to symbolize the extremes I was going through. No one should have to live through extreme depression without help to get them through the rough times, don’t be ashamed...it’s not something you can control or conquer on your own. Talk with someone and get help and make sure you’ve got the right diagnosis. I was put on the wrong medication for years that was dealing just with depression and I felt like I was living in my own mental prison, and now that I’ve been properly diagnosed I feel the best I’ve ever felt. ✌️& ❤️
