Women's month continues - my hero, Katherine Gallo.
My Mom. She gave me, my sister and brother the ability to question and to not to just go along with anything. She filled our home with as much culture as she could. She shared her music which us, she had art books, poetry, Shakespeare plays, Greek tragedies. She brought us to museums, even drove us into the city to see the beatniks and hippies. She wanted us exposed to all the possibilities of life. She felt bad that I wasn’t trained to be an opera singer. I thought I’d be painting instead of singing but either way she always tried to support us and said no matter what, we were her kids, and even if we would come back riding on a horse, we were still her kids.
