The St. Anthony Sand Dunes in eastern #Idaho are 10,000 acres of shifting, white sand. From January through April, the area is closed to humans to protect wintering big game like elk, moose and mule deer. The rest of the year, the 400-foot-high #dunes attract visitors exploring the landscape by foot, on horseback or enjoying thrilling rides in off-road vehicles.
