This photo reminds me of my childhood and the many raindrop races I observed outside my family’s car window growing up. Most of you probably remember this too. Maybe you competitively raced a sibling’s raindrop or you simply made your own bet among the speckled window, hoping to see your raindrop fly off the edge by the end of the car ride. You cheered the raindrop on as it merged with another raindrop, then another, then another, and sped across the finish line in its big new blobby form. What strikes me now is realizing how that raindrop took other raindrops with it to the finish line. It didn’t experience victory alone. My point? I’ll gladly cheer that kind of behavior on in raindrops and people any day. #35mm #canonae1 #ilford400
