Happy Birthday to my cuz Yuji Wakiya. Forthose who dont know him, he is one of the top three "Iron Chef's" that always battled on TV. Turning 60 years old in Japan is a big celebrtaion, and last night was just that... all of his friends and family gahtered from afar to celebrate. Great food, fantastic wines, champagnes, music, emotional speeches, and entertainment. (Yes, I too did a little something for Yuji as well). Some of you may be wondering why I am cousins with Wakiya. Well, I'm actually not blood related. However the lady in the last photo with glasses (Scroll right), Mama Miyama, is the same person who started and supported both of our carreers. I was 6 years old when I met Miyama and she took me on a road trip to Vegas. I saw magic for the first time and eversince wanted to do magic. When I turned 10 years old, Miyama Mama gifted me with 10 private lessons from a real professional magician from the Magic Castle.... and there it was that I stared my path to making "Magic a way of Life" Mama Miyama has been my longest friend and supporter of my life. That said, Mama Miyama is also the same person who is responsible for turning Yuji onto cooking when he young (and is blood related). His culinary talents have not only made him popular on TV, but he has opened restaurants world wide including partnering with people like Robert Dinero in New York. His food is really amazing and if you have the chance, please do try one of his restaurants when in Tokyo. Thank you Mama Miyama and Yuji for having me in your lives. Happy Birthday and have a great 60th year! #wakiya #turandot #familycelebration #60thbirthday #happybirthday 昨日僕の従兄弟Wakiyaさんの60歳還暦パーティーに行きました。違つながってないんですが実は僕の人生子供の時マジックに走り出してサポートしてくれたお母さんがいます彼女の名前はみやまさん1番最後の写真メガネつけてる人です。miyamaさんは僕6歳のときにラスベガス連れてliveてくれて初めて僕はライブでMagicianを見ましたそこから僕の人生が変わりました、10歳の誕生日プレゼントの時僕アメリカロサンゼルスにあるマジックキャッスルのプロマジシャン10回分のプライベートレッスンプレゼントしてもらいました。僕の人生はそこからマジックにずっと延々と走り出します。miyamaさんはWakiyaさん若い時料理の道に走り出したお母様と一緒ですだから僕たちは違つながってないけど家族のようにつながってます。皆さんぜひ機会がありましたらWakiya さんの食事を自分で味見をしてみてくださいとっても感動すると思います
