What dreams shall we breathe into life today? Whatever they are, if heart and integrity are in tact, then I send a smile, high five, fist bump or whatever it is that conveys, “Right on. Go you. Get it!”

If you earn your living doing what you love or doing what’s comfortable or doing what you must in order to survive or if you are retired or don’t need to work, you all have my equal nod and respect. If you are expressive and exuberant about life and use a plethora of words to express your thoughts or if you’re more subdued in expression with fewer words, neither are more or less authentic than the other in my book. If you choose to express vulnerability publicly or if you choose to reserve vulnerability for a private trusted few, then I applaud both for making the choice that is right for oneself.

I could go on but my point is that if your conscience is clear, values and integrity are in check, then I celebrate you and hope you flourish at whatever it is that you set your mind and heart to. It’s too easy to label, judge, size up, misread or just read into things too much especially from a distance with screened barriers. Life is precious. We all have dreams. We all need to survive. And there is enough room for everyone to thrive. No one is ever left bankrupt when encouraging another along the way too. Better to err on the side of lifting others up than the opposite or in the words of Sri Chinmoy, “When we encourage others with no personal motives, we raise high, very high, humanity’s progress-standard.”
