In 2008 I went to my first @isufigureskating World Championships. Craig had a torn rotator cuff and a torn MCL but in typical fashion, he pushed through to compete at worlds, deciding to get surgery afterwards. I remember being so excited that I didn’t sleep for a week beforehand and then being so nervous before we skated that I had to sit in the medical room because I thought I’d vomit. We skated a clean short and clean long program to finish 6th at our first Worlds and I thought that was the greatest thing ever. I couldn’t imagine anything getting better then that!! For 9 years following this I got to skate at the World Championships, every year except 2010 (which I didn’t qualify for). It was an honour to represent Canada on the World stage. Every year I thought it couldn’t get better, and then I outdid myself. Year by year. I just kept dreaming and kept pushing towards the top group of skaters, who at this time was already @アリオナ・サフチェンコ . She inspired me at those World championships and I wanted to be like her one day.
