the other day, i was reminded about what i lost during the robbery last summer when my camera and other valuables were stolen. i realized that after that, i had lost a lot of my drive to make youtube videos. if i could have afforded it, i would’ve replaced it and continued on. but i couldn’t, so i didn’t, and i moved into focusing on less materialistic parts of my life and identity than my physical creations.

with that, i’ve been creating art again, practicing music, and working on learning digital illustration (inspired a lot by y’alls art!) i’ve been focused at my job at work, cooking more frequently, and going out to support my friends in their plays and other art shows. i’ve played two concerts, heard some incredible poetry, and gone to california.

i’ve been distracted, downtrodden, and anxious for a lot of the past few months. that’s not unusual considering my seasonal mood changes, but i’ve also required a lot of time to myself and sadly, have felt guilty trying to carve that out. but! by being transparent with others, i’ve been able to and have been healing so very much, both on my own and with others :)
