スカイラー・カーギルさんのインスタグラム写真 - (スカイラー・カーギルInstagram)「upon further introspection, listening to those who have so bravely shared their stories, struggles, and lives with me, re-learning and doing the work of being a better person, a better ally, i realize that by silencing my own self, alongside my mistakes, ridiculous rants, and undiagnosed mental illness alongside poor physical health, i am denying the existence of my own very conflicting, curious, and candid sense of self. . . i understand now, more clearly than ever, that the easiest way is not always the right way. i spoke my truth to strangers when it was very much bad bad bad bad to be trans. now, a lot more people identify as trans. now it is brave and stunning to be trans. . being trans is one facet of my identity and while important, it is not the epitome of who i am. i do not wake up every day thinking about my gender and making palatable content relevant to current social issues to fit my life into a very marketable box. i called out trans folks, called in trans folks, and eventually just stopped calling at all because every body is different. i have apologized to those i may have harmed. . i am not 100% democratic, woke, left leaning, hating harry potter, finding issues with every piece of language. my opinions have changed since i was 17, practically half my life ago. . as i begin to be more comfortable with my own ideas, takes, what not, i will never be perfect. i am going to try to post daily on my art account @tucker.jpeg and i will be using this account for staying in touch, having q&a’s, asking advice and such. . truly, all love. i am not sorry for the person i was and am and will become, i am sorry if the way i used social media was not helpful. just looking up from now on! shouts, thanks, big hugs.」7月30日 7時40分
