I was holding Jill just now during our normal breakfast routine: squirrel in one hand, coffee cup in the other, iPad in my lap checking email. When I realized I couldn't tell which of her feet were injured (reminder: Jill took a tumble with my phone last week)!

They were both the same temperature (the inflammation caused her injured foot to stay a few degrees warmer). The best part, they were both gripping around my fingers the exact same way! I had to put her on her back to "remember" which one was the injured foot.

I'm so excited, and just so grateful for all of you! The well wishes, prayers, and asking (daily) how she's doing. I knew I needed to take a step back (a definite challenge) and let her heal on her own time.

I can't say enough amazing things about Exotic Animal Veterinarian, @nic_the.animal.doctor. He was instrumental in easing my mind. He requested "day of accident" and "a few days after" pictures of her foot and said everything I was doing was what he would have recommended. Luckily, Jill's (chill) temperament made it easy to have her rest a ton, greatly limit her activity, and elevate her foot when possible.
