Tangara Cross is a certified veterinary technician, supervisory biologist and the Zoo’s animal hospital manager. She manages Wildlife Health Sciences support staff, participates in clinical and laboratory procedures, and keeps the Zoo hospital functioning properly with direction from the Chief Veterinarian. Vet techs hold a boarded license and perform jobs similar to that of an anesthesiologist, radiologist, nurse, dentist, pediatric nurse, phlebotomist and many other medical professionals. #InternationalWomensDay #WomenInSTEM
