#WomensHistoryMonth Dearest Women, Do you see her? Itom Ae. Everything I see around me, it’s only beautiful if it transforms. I find change stunning. Nature shifts before my eyes from one second to another, and it makes me ponder on the obsessed idea we've somehow adopted, of how perfect, permanent and ageless our bodies have got to be. I witness the seasons in the mirror of my garden yearly. I've become a bewildered spectator of the wonder that is metamorphosis. The shifting of size, strength, tightness. The constant death and birth of curves and indentations. The creation of skin paved roads, created by time, pain, happiness, sand, dirt, wind, sun, water, orgasms, screams, yawns, smiles. By singing, drinking & smoking. By life. The crows feet looking flesh rivers that tell the tales of my great adventures. Those lines. Those wrinkles. Those surface paths that end in the Rock of Gibralter, the vigilante, the eye. Or in the ever menacing mouth. I am reminded that the definition of beauty is change. Transformation. Movement. Variation. So why is it that we've become obsessed with the idea of a "perfect" body? A permanent vessel? A stagnant vision for our mortal parts? I watch nature loose all color, shape, tightness, strength, brightness, smell. I watch it die everyday and still she never looses her magnificence. Her grandeur. Her Magic. It's in that vulnerability that beauty blooms at its most majestic. It's in death & rebirth that the most miraculous of instances exist. It's in having to constantly recognize, say hello and give a warm friendly welcome to new dents on our ass. Fall in love with the droop of your breasts, as you fall in love with the falling of leaves in autumn. Fall in love with the lines in your face that make you a human of thought & emotion. Fall in love with the loss of your hair, it probably means you loved & lost. Fall in love with the whitening of it too and yearn for it as you do for snow, it means you are on your way to spring. Fall in love with every change and transformation. Witness and marvel at your own image as you do the mutation of nature. Find your reflection in nature. Fall in love with HER. Fall in love with YOU.

Dearest Women,

Do you see her?
Movement. Variation.
