Although Alzheimer’s has not hit my family directly, I’ve experienced severe dementia with both of my grandmothers. Other forms of mental illness are in my family as well. I relate to the little girl in this video- the beautifully talented @echocampbell more than I can explain, and it kills me to know children are having to step up and be parents to their parents. While shooting this PSA, every nerve in my body was raw and split wide open. Spreading this message has become incredibly important to me.
