I’m a mother of two young boys who are 7 and 9 years old and I’m scared for their LIVES when we send them to school everyday. My parents & siblings & dear friends are school teachers. This rips my heart out what keeps happening. Why can’t we fucking prioritize the lives of our children and the people who educate them? This is not a debate. This is not only about mental health. My mother, a high school teacher pointed out that just as many women have mental health issues as men and how many female shooters have we seen? Mental health is not the main issue, it’s only one aspect- the first order of business is changing our gun laws to protect our children and all the innocent people who will continue to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. We need to change our culture. We need to make it impossible to get any kind of gun. You don’t NEED to have a gun in your home. NO one needs a fucking gun. The biggest mental health issue belongs to this joke of a human Trump who stands by only offering his useless bullshit condolences and not enacting actual policy change. Stop ENABLING this to happen to our kids and our people. How many kids have to die before we wake up??
