Every morning when we enter Harlow’s class, there is a question or prompt on the smart board for the kids to write in their answers. On Wednesday, the board said, "Name someone special who you are excited to give a Valentine." Harlow picked up the pen and started writing the letter "M.” I smiled thinking she was going to write “Mom." After all, it's one of the only words she knows how to spell. But then Harlow wrote her second letter, which was "A." I swear, my first thought was that she had forgotten how to spell "Mom," quickly followed by the realization that she wasn't writing "Mom" at all.
