Please help me help a wonderful woman who passed away in 2006 and left $125,000 to go to an organization that would help end declawing and support legislation to ban it.
She has no living family members and the lawyer who handled her bequest doesn’t want to help me look into this.
@cornelluniversity Feline Health Center @cornellvet was awarded her bequest in 2008 because they talked a good talk on how they would use it.
They said they used $100,000 of it to make 6 short,simple videos in 2008. The feline behaviorist, who is the person in the videos, told me that she wrote all the material in the videos and they took 2 days to make and she doesn’t remember being paid but if she was it was a few hundred dollars. ??

Cornell won’t support the anti-declawing legislation in NY even though that’s what Rhoda Hogan wanted in her bequest. ?
What did Cornell do with the remaining $25,000 in the last 10 years? #Nothing
After I published my story about this in 2016 and reached out to the NH courts who awarded Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine the money, in Cornell told them that they intend to use the funds to “support novel public out reach efforts to encourage nonsurgical alternatives to declawing.” And they said they are actively evaluating the most effective means for carrying out this plan. They said that OVER A YEAR AGO!
Folks, Cornell received Mrs Hogan’s money in 2008.
if I wouldn’t have published this investigative story, do you really think they would have said they are still trying to think of ways to use the 25,000 dollars???
This is the most egregious thing in my eyes, to not honor the wishes of the dead.
