Today, The Prince of Wales visited the Mercian Regiment to mark 10 years as Colonel-in-Chief.

HRH met soldiers and presented medals to those who have recently returned from Iraq and South Sudan, before meeting their families and giving a speech.

Today also marks 40 years since HRH became Colonel-in-Chief of The Cheshire Regiment, which was amalgamated into the Mercian's in 2007.
