This was Mazzy's desk when we first got the girls' room redone a few years ago. It was a clean and perfectly organized space. It felt like a new beginning. Flash forward to today and I can't even see the surface of her desk, let alone locate anything without losing my mind. And the rest of their room is not much better. You can check out my blog to see what their room looks like now. With so much clutter, it makes it harder and harder to clean. A few weeks ago, I was asked to do Biometrics research for @Clorox. They hooked me up to some wires and then asked me to step inside two different hotel rooms (one that was dirty and another that was clean) so that they could monitor my reactions. Turns out, I get really stressed out in dirty environments and my level of happiness and critical thinking goes way down. Which makes sense. The research got me thinking about what a dirty space does to my kids' state of mind too. Read more about my experience and what I'm going to do about it on the blog today.
