Last year @ウィットニー・カミングス’s dad died. The comedian says that during her “weird grieving process” she couldn’t remember to eat or sleep, but for some reason, she could remember that her friend @paulscheer once told her about a wolf sanctuary he’d been to. “I wanted to be around beings that understood death, that wouldn’t ask me how I was doing, and wolves seemed like the perfect company,” @ウィットニー・カミングス writes in @ニューヨーク・タイムズ. And so with friends in tow, the comedian traveled to Palmdale, California, home of the @wolfconnection sanctuary. “In a culture that makes me feel that I have to compete, audition, peacock, post and posture constantly,” she writes, “observing the effortless functionality of the wolf pack pushed ‘Pause’ on those impulses.” @elizabethrweinberg took this portrait of #WhitneyCummings in Los Angeles.
