We’re working towards feeling less chaos this year, but I also admit to shoving the mess out of frame to make this image more ‘calming’ ? In the month since she turned 8, I feel like she’s aged about five years. Lots of big feelings, big questions, and teeth falling out like crazy. We’ve implemented extra amounts of talking, playing, snuggling, and movie watching. She also started meditating with me and it’s been really good for both of us (side note: I highly recommend a calming or sleep meditation at bedtime for kids - game changer here!!!) Real life parenting is messy and chaotic, but occasionally putting on the blinders to focus on the beautiful is helpful too ❤️
