Sometimes media call it the blood moon! Swipe left for the second photo taken in twilight. I have photographed plenty of eclipses in the past 2 decades but there is something about them that never gets old. The next total lunar eclipse is on Wednesday January 31st which is also a Blue Moon (the second full moon in a month). The eclipse is visible in the morning at moonset from Central and North America. The East Coast will only see the beginning partial phase over a clear western horizon. UK, Western Europe, and Africa will miss this but it’s partially visible to upper Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, and Middle East at moonrise after sunset, like the second photo. Russia and most of Asia, Australia, the Pacific and Hawaii will see the entire eclipse. Explore more @babaktafreshi
