Many of you sent me a heads up about a vet in Hawaii who claims he does a painless declaw. ?
I looked into this and did an in-depth story. Also, the @avmavets ‘s peer-reviewed, general scientific journal, JAVMA, posted a Letter to the Editor, from this long time AVMA vet, Dr Kerry Yoon, and renamed his Letter to the Editor, "A different approach to declawing." This vet has been doing a partial amputation procedure with a Rescoe guillotine clipper, for over 40 years to cats and kittens and uses electro-cautery to burn away the nail tissue and claims that it is a revolutionary and completely painless procedure. ????
He has never used any pain meds for all those kitties! ??
JAVMA edited his original letter to the editor and took out the fact that he claims it is painless and never uses pain meds.
This is unconscionable in my opinion! ?
My in-depth story involved over 100 emails from this vet. He did not like that I questioned him about the details and how could it be painless. He was condescending, demeaning, and insulting in his comments towards me and was the same towards the veterinarians who I was using as expert advisors for information.

How can JAVMA give such a HUGE platform to a vet who has been doing thousands of partial toe amputations with ZERO pain meds?
