Angels in the Architecture is a contemporary work by Mark Godden about the beauty and simplicity of the Shaker community. This ballet requires total concentration on and off stage because there is power in the unison and stillness. We work with brooms so that adds an extra obstacle to staying together. I love dancing this ballet because of the long sweeping and grounded movements to the music, Appalachian Spring by Aaron Copland. - Alessandra Ball James
