There’s someone new and awesome at the Small Mammal House—Minnie the opossum! Come visit her!
Common opossums are native to southern Mexico, Central America and northern South America. They are omnivorous, have prehensile tails and will occasionally “play dead” to avoid predators. But they can also hiss, growl, screech, spray urine or feces, bare their teeth, or drool when threatened.
