jikoin temple, in the Nara countryside, Japan ???? I am a girl who travels far and wide to clear +meditate, to pray with the monks, to work with the matcha farmers & locals in real life. I've been coming to Japan since I was five. One of the best parts about traveling solo, you can begin to go deep & let go of so much. I thought a lot about those who have hurt me over the past few years & it took courage+ time to let it go. "shigata ga nai", it cannot be helped, & mom always reminds me, "gaman, candice, you must learn to tolerate with great resilience." Over my lifetime, I can remember flashbacks of Japan, the plane ride when I was a kid, miso soup for breakfast! My Baachan + great auntie who always shared the best sencha, hōjicha, matcha, soba, udon, bento ? and ramen with us. They took great care of us ??From the cherry blossoms to the bamboo forests, the temples + shrines to climbing Mount Fuji... which over decades manifested and turned into hospital visits, months of hand holding + funerals and lastly, grieving. That's where I am now. I have learned and grown to let go of my anger and resentment to those who hurt me. It is a disservice to my work and my heart. If we learn to let go, we can open our space for the new. End of year is a great time to say, goodbye, farewell. For you have learned, it may seem immeasurable or impossible at the moment, but if you look to your past, it tells a very deep-rooted story of you. That's your message. Beautiful you, and while I have written about my story, which will be published soon-- I encourage you to write, get out and explore, dream, discover. Let go of the old shit +be open to the new. Trust me, I know what deep hurt feels like, but you can't help when you are hurting, one must heal. Trust this present moment. Japan was closed off to the world for so long + look at the beautiful cultural influence it has given us. It took Japan re-opening to become beloved by the world. I promise to write more on myJapan travels as you have asked ⚡️✨ ?????if you promise to share more ---your heritage is your story xxx ck #Japan #bebrave #brave #courage #japanesegirl #japanese #gaman #kaizen #travelbug
