saturday errands and lots of quick hops from car to shop and back again. Picking up staples like loaves of fresh sourdough but a few indulgences as well, soft cheeses and a bottle of red for this evening - treats are needed as fortification against this polar landscape. And somehow in all the snow and cold the houses dressed in their festive garlands still seem cheery and inviting - so hears to keeping up the seasonal decor (and spirit) just a wee bit longer
