The new year got a little busy so we're doing Monday's Acts of Kindness today to bring some kindness to the mid week via the Chicago Tribune.
10 year old Jahkil Jackson proves that you are never to young to make a difference. Jahkil has been on a mission to help homeless men, women and children ever since he was just 5 years old. His idea, a “blessing bag”, — packages filled with socks, toiletries and snacks that he distributes to homeless people in his downtown of Chicago.
“I want to make sure people in need aren’t just unknown,” Jahkil has said “I think homeless people — most people don’t recognize them and walk past them and drive past them. I want to let people know that homeless people are people too.”
