We spent a lot of time on the route groveling through offwidths and squeeze chimneys w too many layers on, cleaning pitches of snow covered rock w a shovel and generally scrapping along. Not much rock star free climbing going on here, just blue collar grinding. We do however end up at a 5 star high camp that feels above our pay grade... exposed enough to be cool but wide enough that it doesn’t feel like we’re going to roll off into the abyss.
