I always take time at the end of the year in reflection for what was, as I prepare to move forward and set my intentions. I don’t beat myself up for my short comings, compare others accomplishments to mine or judge my mishaps. I accept my humanness and look forward to another year, another moment, another chance to do better! In retrospect this year has shown me some of the biggest lessons in love, the hardest trials of my spirit, the most surprising outcomes, the toxicity of certain created patterns, the fortitude of my heart, the freedom in forgiveness and the power in uniting for change! I must remember there hasn’t been a single moment that wasn’t planned to help me find myself, my heart, my life exactly, perfectly where I am today. That includes the beautiful, surreal, blessed moments to the painful, sad, unexplainable moments... I must welcome it all. The lessons, growth and empathy it will allow me, knowing they are part of self evolution, are invaluable. There is always a balance of good and bad, failure and triumph, light and dark. Each moment, each day, each year... it’s a gift we must find gratitude for it! To breathe, to be alive and to have a chance to do better than we did before. So now I surrender my past and take the lessons forward. I trust what is to come as I step into the light. And I accept myself for where I am as I hope to become a better version of myself with each new day, this my Resolution. #HappyNewYear #hello2018
