A lot of you guys know my story as a single mom, but what I never really talk about was how sometimes I felt a little isolated and alone (I still do sometimes!) I am so blessed to have such amazing and supportive friends and family that love the girls and allow me to have some me-time occasionally! But I was really young when I had Kins and I didn't know anyone else around my age at that time who had kids. I'm not going to lie, it was hard for me to open up because I couldn’t really relate to anyone I knew. That's why I'm so grateful for social media & especially for apps like @peanut (kind of like a Tinder for mom friends) that help bring moms together to empower and uplift each other, to set up local play dates and to always have a forum where you can ask questions. It’s so easy to use: it shows you women in your area with similar interests and similar aged children. As a mother, having the support of other moms is everything!
