‘Back in #Bucharest, most people associate #Romania’s capital with the megalomaniac Palace of Parliament. Instead, a more representative landmark for locals like myself is the Romanian Athenaeum, resplendent both inside and out. A classic stunner all year round, this is where in September, classical music takes over the city. Held in honor of the illustrious Romanian composer George Enescu, the @enescu_festival is a month-long classical music festival held inside the splendid Romanian Athenaeum. The performances are exceptional and the surroundings are, as you can see, nothing short than grandiose. Choose an off-season day to visit the interior.
