My grass fed sheep have an unnatural affinity for Merlin, my blind dachshund. Every time they see him, they come trotting out to sniff and then they follow him around like he’s a sheep! Animals can sense each other‘s intentions… Merlin is the calmest, most chill dog I’ve ever met. If I sit down to meditate, he somehow knows it and will come and sit on my feet to help. He doesn’t do that when I’m not meditating. Maybe that’s why the sheep like him so much… Owning animals teaches you a lot about your own mental state, because they mirror it for you.
