It feels good to get it off your chest, though. When I was about 8, I took my sister’s wood burning tool and put HER initials in it and burned them into our antique kitchen table. I was SUPER curious if it worked.
Uhhh, it did.
She got in trouble. She denied it. I sat quietly. But every meal I saw my guilt. Every. Single. Meal. So yeah, I was glad to tell that one to my parents (and sister) when I was no longer punishable. [my parents even gave me the table because I had suffered enough—ha!] What secret(s) did you keep from your parents until you were an adult?
