When I opened my package from my first (and definitely not last) order from @rootsandcrownspdx, there was so much love and care in every detail that it overwhelmed my heart to tears. Details matter. Intentions hold power. And kindness is a life force. Those three things are really huge gifts to me that surpass any price tags. Life is beautiful but the lessons and mountains we climb can feel brutal at times. It is in those spaces where gifts of love and kindness matter most.

I love that as I bid farewell to a year of growth, pain, change, lessons, letting go and evolving, I have new rituals to greet me into the new year. A year of health, wholeness, the ongoing blessing of motherhood and the shifting of priorities with one being my own heart. It will be a year of unapologetically saying yes to my spirit and letting the no’s take care of themselves. For as an unknown wise sage has said, “An empty lantern provides no light. Self-care is the fuel that allows your light to shine bright.” Here’s to a metamorphosis awaiting. ?

Also I’ve decided that my @treeringco fountain pen will be what accompanies me in this special space. I love how it was handcrafted from Douglas fir trees in old forest growth restoration projects. I know that the soul of the tree was honored in its making so whenever I write with it I feel more connected to the earth. How very fitting. ?
