Hey Fam! Its Art Basel here in Miami, which is like "the Super Bowl" of the entire art world! Its the "Olympics" of art! Art here, are there-art everywhere! So in honor of the world most prolific artists, art collectors and art glamour-hounds alike gathering here in Miami, here is my contribution to the Art World for Art Basel Miami Beach 2017: My rendition of The Starry Night by Vincent Van Gogh. The artist who painted this on my body, was a lovely girl who actually was the face-painter at my sons birthday party. ??She did my entire 16 Month Body Paint Calendar. God bless her! Countless hours of body painting, but well worth the experience! Being an avid art lover, and traveling the world to see the handful of iconic masterpieces, I fell in love with the legendary "Starry Night" by the artistic genius Vincent Van Gogh when I saw it in the Museum of Modern Art in one of my most favorite cities, New York City. Painted in 1889, in the post impressionist way with vivid colours, thick application of paint, distinctive brush strokes, of real-life subject matter always moved me. This body paint project took close to 8 hours, making sure my body paint artist got as close as possible to the original piece of art. As my body as the canvas, this was my way also as an artist to pay my respects to such a priceless iconic masterpiece!
