I grew up in Tokyo. During the 5 years I lived in Azabu Juban I knew every restaurant, bar, club, and shop. My playground was Roppongi hopping from place-to-place with my best friends, having the time of our lives, growing up is carefree in a sense. There weren’t many young people that lived abroad, so that forged a strong bond and a responsibility to keep each other safe, like family. We helped each other with that. During the end of my time in Tokyo I wanted to host and practice yoga but Japan just wasn’t the place for either. When people move they get to create the life they want, so I made the decision to move with now hubby Henry to Singapore to pursue a life together. Coming back now, I see the reflection of myself who I once was. I miss Tokyo and the people here, but then again, how lucky am I to be able to visit today as the person I have always wanted to be.
