Carol Dyanti, better known as "Mum" Carol, founder of The Ikageng Itireleng AIDS Ministry in Soweto, South Africa . Meet "Mum" Carol, founder of Ikageng Itireleng AIDS Ministry in Soweto, South Africa. In Sotho, "Ikageng Itireleng" means "help them help themselves," which is exactly what Carol's organization is doing. While working as a home-based care provider, Carol noticed an increasing number of children left to fend for themselves after becoming orphaned by or affected by AIDS - she knew that something needed to be done. In 2002, she opened the Ikageng Itireleng AIDS ministry to help children that have experienced first-hand the devastation of losing a parent or guardian to AIDS. Many of Ikageng's kids who have become orphaned by or affected by AIDS must take on the role of parent for their younger siblings. In order to help these children thrive, Ikageng connects them to clothing, food, school fees, healthcare, life-skills training, transportation, and psychological support, while still preserving the integrity of the remaining family unit. Keep A Child Alive cannot express how thankful we are for Carol's work. I have seen first hand the impact she has had an a whole  FUTURE generation!! For #WorldAidsDay, I want to honor Carol "Mum" Dyanti for being a “mum” to so many, for all of your incredible work and for your blinding love that reminds us all that love DOES change the world! #ShesAKing? ?? @KeepAChildAlive
