Pinawa Dam Provincial Heritage Park is located on the Winnipeg River and about a 90-minute drive from Winnipeg. The dam was Manitoba’s first hydro-electric generating station in 1906 and was closed in 1951 for the newer dam built downstream, but the area still provides a look back at history and some great photo opportunities. ?: @alftown ?: @travelmanitoba #ExploreCanada

À environ 90 minutes de route de Winnipeg se trouve le parc provincial du patrimoine Pinawa Dam, aux abords de la rivière Winnipeg. Construit en 1906, ce barrage était la première centrale hydroélectrique du Manitoba. Ses activités ont cessé en 1951, car un nouveau barrage a été érigé en aval.
