On Friday my son, my mom and myself headed up to NYC for an impromptu day trip. This was mostly spurred on by a cry in my heart to tend to it as I was running on an empty tank of dry fumes for awhile. I had felt so out of synch and far away from myself. And the further I got, the more insecure, disjointed and disconnected I felt with others and it began showing. Thankfully most I know are full of grace and see beyond the little patterings of the human experience and that I’m not wholly out of my gore. Anyway I find it fitting that this journey led us to the @travelers_company caravan at the @acehotelnewyork - a gathering that is the very springboard for people to come back home to themselves in the form of a notebook which holds the creative expressions of our soul.

This soirée, the Traveler’s Company Caravan, felt like an oasis on the journey. A refueling station and refuge. A place for the heart to breathe and to remember to enjoy the ride. The most special part of it was sharing it with my son who had been waiting all day to make his very own notebook. Thank you from our hearts to the wonderful folks behind @travelers_company for opening a beautiful space for people to freely create and for your warm hospitality. We will never forget our experience.
