Flashback from when I attempted a new creative feat: my first book binding project! This was something I had wanted to try for years and finally made the jump with the curiously intriguing Anselm Book Binding Kit by @pegandawl. And it was such a fun and rewarding experience that I decided to get more thereafter in the smaller size so that my son could venture into his first book binding experience too. And I’m happy to report it was a success and he really liked the process! I’m thinking about learning more about this craft but for now these Anselm kits are my jam. So here’s to exploring uncharted creative avenues and trying new things! Oh and happy Friday all!

Edit: a few have messaged about some of my tools pictured so I thought it might be helpful to share here as well! The colors I used in the watercolored flower are Purple Ochre and Shungite from the Ochre Palette by @greenleafblue. The fountain pen is the Model 65 by @franklinchristoph as is the pencil which is in 2B lead. And the blueish grey large pouch is the “Slate” color by @pegandawl.
