Photo and text by Roeselien Raimond @roeselienraimond | Years ago, I had my first exhibition and to be very honest; I didn’t sell much back then.

But I did have a great time and I do remember the enthusiastic people and I remember every single piece I sold. One photo, the first photo I ever made of a Small Copper, was sold to someone I knew and for years, the sight of this photo, hanging on his wall, made me a little proud. .
This summer, this person got really sick and I knew the end wasn’t going to be happy, which made me sad. To clear my thoughts, I went to my favorite nature area, but I just couldn’t concentrate… And then, all of a sudden this beautiful little copper appeared and sat down just in front of me. It didn’t seem to be afraid and gave me all the time and opportunity to admire its fairylike little face. While enjoying its beauty and almost forgetting about everything….I remember thinking: This one’s for you...And it became the last card I sent him….with love.
