Photograph by @paulnicklen // How much life can you fit on one beach? St Andrews Bay, Antarctica has perhaps the highest bio-density of life on Earth. Over 10,000 elephant seals and over 300,000 king penguins make it very challenging to walk anywhere on this beach. The first time I came here with @natgeoexpedtions I just stood in awe and disbelief for an hour before shooting 3500 images. And that was before lunch. Most of the penguins are up the valley to the right but many of them cross this beach daily to go to sea and feed.
