The World at Night project
The two brightest planets in our night sky (image center), Venus and Jupiter, are paired in a beautiful conjunction these mornings. The show continues this week but they get closest tomorrow Nov 13, similar to this evening image captured in Boston a couple of years ago. Zoom to the center to see the pair clearly. Venus is much brighter.
Wake up an hour before sunrise and look to an open east-southeast horizon. Remember they are close to the horizon so that direction should be open. They rise higher and prominent until the morning light fades them away.
