Home for the Holidays Count Down Day One! Clyde Jackson Browne was born in Heidelberg, Germany where his father was stationed as a staff writer for Stars & Stripes Magazine. He moved his family to LA a few years later. Jackson joined his first band The Nitty Gritty Dirt band while still in high school. A few years later Jackson moved to Greenwich Village after landing a job at Nina Music, the publishing arm of Elektra Records at age 18. He wrote hits for Tom Rush, Nico, Steve Noonan, Gregg Allman, Joan Baez, Eagles, Linda Ronstadt, the Byrds, among others. He sang backing vocals for Tim Buckley and Nico, before starting his legendary career as a front man in 1972 with his self-titled album, Jackson Browne on Elektra Asylum Records. In 2004 he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Jackson's storied career has spanned over 60 years, and he has sold over 18 million albums in the US. We are incredibly thankful for having Jackson Browne join this year's show.
