“In early 1974, British miners were on strike. With coal supplies diminishing, the Tory government imposed a three-day work week on the country and called a general election, in which they lost their parliamentary majority. So, I took a journey to England to have a look, and wound up in a little mining village called Warsop Vale, in Nottinghamshire. One day, two bored and curious little girls started following me wherever I went, somewhat to my annoyance. Then I turned around and saw this, and was no longer annoyed.” The signed print is available for $100 on shop.magnumphotos.com now. Link in bio.
