Now a business center and bustling tourist destination, Lhasa Tibet has long since departed its once autonomous past isolated from the outside world. In the shadow of the Chinese occupation of the country since 1950, the people of Tibet have experienced cultural and religious delusion and oppression in many ways. The city, once an ancient hub for Buddhism has since seen increasing modern development leading to a growing connection to the outside world and the amenities it offers.
