At least three people were killed during violence surrounding Kenya's repeat presidential election on Oct. 26, 2017. Officials said voting in some areas affected by the unrest—opposition supporters who boycotted the vote fought with police—would be delayed until Saturday, the Associated Press reports. Thursday's election, which follows an August ballot that was won by President Uhuru Kenyatta, but later nullified after being contested by opposition leader Raila Odinga—went on after a last-ditch bid to delay it failed earlier this week.
