On Wednesday, prosecutors began to present evidence that his comrades were wounded in a search for Bergdahl after he left his post in Afghanistan in 2009. Bergdahl, 31, who was held by the Taliban for five years, faces up to life in prison after pleading guilty to desertion and misbehavior before the enemy, the Associated Press reports. The judge in the case is considering a motion of dismissal filed by the defense that argues President Trump's comments have tainted the case.
